Hazari Prasad Dwivedi’s full name was Acharya Hazari Prasad Dwivedi and his childhood name was Vaidyanath Dwivedi. He was born on August 19, 1907, in Shravan Shukla Ekadashi Samvat 1964, in Aar Dubey’s Chhapra, Ojhwalia village of Ballia district, Uttar Pradesh.

Along with being a very famous Hindi essayist and novelist, he was also a critic. Along with this, he also had a good knowledge of devotional literature. It is believed that he was highly knowledgeable and scholar in Hindi, English, Sanskrit and Bangla languages. He was also honored with the Padma Bhushan Award in his life. Hazari Prasad Dwivedi’s father’s name was Mr. Anmol Dwivedi and mother’s name was Mrs. Jyotishmati. Hazari Prasad Dwivedi died on 19 May 1979 in Delhi.

Hazari Prasad Dwivedi Bibliography
In the year 1981, the compilation of all the compositions of Hazari Prasad Dwivedi ji was published in 11 volumes under the name Hazariprasad Dwivedi Granthawali. After one edition, the second revised edition of Hazariprasad Dwivedi Granthawali was published in the year 1998.

Large Historical Grammar of Hindi Language

Acharya Hazari Prasad Dwivedi ji worked in the field of grammar and wrote a book named Vrihat historical grammar of Hindi language. And the manuscripts of this grammar book were given to Banaras Hindu University, but due to non-publication on time, those manuscripts disappeared from the university.

Later Mukund Dwivedi, son of Hazari Prasad Dwivedi, got a copy of the first volume of this grammar book. And later it was published in 12 volumes.
