Overview of Ekadashi Vrat List
Ekadashi is a Hindu holy day that is observed twice a month in the Hindu lunar calendar. The word “Ekadashi” means “eleven” in Sanskrit and refers to the 11th day of a lunar fortnight, which can either be the 11th day of the bright half (Shukla Paksha) or the 11th day of the dark half (Krishna Paksha) of the lunar month.
Ekadashi is considered to be a highly auspicious day for spiritual practices and is observed by Hindus all over the world. On this day, many devotees fast and abstain from eating grains and beans as a form of spiritual purification. The day is also marked by spiritual discourses, devotional singing, and other religious rituals.
There are several different Ekadashi that are observed throughout the year, each with its own special significance and rituals. Some of the most well-known Ekadashi include Paush Ekadashi, Vaikuntha Ekadashi, and Jaya Ekadashi.
In general, Ekadashi is viewed as an opportunity for spiritual renewal and growth, and is an important part of Hindu religious practice and tradition.
