Overview of List of OBC Caste
The full-form of OBC is Other Backward Class, which is also known as Other Backward Classes in Hindi. In Article 340 and 16(4) of the Indian Constitution, provisions related to reservation of other backward classes have been given. Under the OBC category, the citizens of economically, socially and politically backward sections of the society have been included by the government.
OBC class is called the citizens coming from the economically and socially deprived sections of the society. Under this, hundreds of castes of the country have been included by the government. Apart from the central government, the state governments have also included castes coming from different classes in their respective states in the OBC category.
