Overview of Krishak Bandhu Self Declaration Form
Krishak Bandhu is a scheme launched by the Government of West Bengal to provide financial assistance to farmers and their families. The scheme includes two components: (1) Krishak Bandhu Samman Yojana, which provides financial assistance to the family of a farmer in case of his/her death, and (2) Krishak Bandhu Scheme, which provides financial assistance to the farmers in two instalments.
To avail of the benefits of the Krishak Bandhu Scheme, farmers are required to fill out a self-declaration form. The form can be downloaded from the official website of the Krishak Bandhu Scheme or obtained from the nearest block office.
The self-declaration form requires farmers to provide their personal details, such as name, address, Aadhaar number, bank account details, landholding details, crop details, etc. It also requires farmers to declare that the information provided by them is correct and that they are eligible to receive the benefits of the scheme.
Once the self-declaration form is filled out and submitted, it will be verified by the authorities. After verification, the financial assistance under the scheme will be credited to the bank account of the eligible farmers.
Benefits:
- In Krishak Bandhu (Assured Income) Scheme every farmer who has ROR and recorded Bhagachasi (Partner) will be eligible to get financial assistance of Rs. 5000/- per annum for ownership of one acre or more of agricultural land. Farmers with less than one acre of land will be eligible for assistance on pro-rata basis, subject to a minimum of Rs. 2000/- per farmer per year. Financial assistance under the scheme is payable in two equal installments, first during Kharif and second during Rabi season every year.
- Under the Krishak Bandhu (Death Benefit) scheme, on the death of a farmer/recorded sharecropper (shareholder) in the age group of 18 to 60 years, the legal heirs of the deceased will be eligible for a lump sum grant of Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh) only. The legal heir will be determined by the BDO as per the prescribed procedure.
