I praise and bow down to that Dakshinamurti, who is seated towards the south, who explains from his silent position the true nature of the Supreme Brahman, who is young in appearance, who is surrounded by old sages and disciples, whose The mind is fixed on Brahman, who is the greatest of teachers, who shows Chinmudra with his hand, who personifies happiness, who is in a state of supreme bliss within himself, and who has a smiling face.

The universe is a mirror-like city that contains everything. But due to confusion we see it as being out of place. But everything is illusory. All our thought processes are rational if we have a soul. It is only when we receive knowledge from the Guru that we lift the veil of ignorance and the light of enlightenment.
The above verse tells us that the world which is outside us is same as our soul but we see them as separate entities because of the veil of ignorance. As soon as we wake up, we realize that the dream is false and even looking at our image in the mirror, we know that we are not seeing us in the mirror but our image. When we receive knowledge from the Guru, we are in the awakened state without the veil of ignorance.

He who exists as the real light of Truth, and shines in the false world of appearances, and He who teaches the disciples the great saying, “Thou art that”, after realizing its import, in this life and death gets away from the circle. Sitting in the south.
One who, by His wise light, makes this illusory universe a reality, teaches Brahman to those who desire to see the soul through the philosophy of Tatmavasi, who brings us out of this cycle of life and death, and becomes the divine teacher, I bow to that greatest teacher, Lord Dakshinamurti.
