The revised criteria for purchase of cars through CSD From Nov 2020
In service/Retired
The employees who come under Pay level 3A to 6 including retired employees and widows are granted with Rs.6 lakhs excluding taxes can buy First car in service and second car after Retirement. The employee can buy first car only after 5 years of service. There should be a 8 years of gap between first & second car of purchase.
Widows
If the late husband had purchased a car each while in service and after retirement then the widow will not be eligible to buy a car. In case late husband had purchased only one car while in service then widow can buy one car through CSD after a gap of 8 years from the date of last purchase.
In service/Retired
The employees who come under Pay level 7 to 9 including retired employees and widows are granted with Rs.7 lakhs excluding taxes can buy First car as an OR and second car on promotion as JCO and third car after retirement. he employee can buy first car only after 5 years of service. There should be a 8 years of gap between first & second car of purchase.
Widows:
If the late husband had purchased a car each while in service as well as after retirement the widow will not be eligible to buy a car. In case late husband had purchased car(s) only while in service then widow can buy one car through CSD after a gap of 8 years from the date of last purchase.
In service/Retired/Widows
The employees who come under Pay level 10 to 18 including retired employees and widows are granted with Rs.15 lakhs excluding taxes once in 8 years.
Serving civilians Officers
The employees who come under Pay level 11 to 18(Paid out of Defence Estimates) are granted with Rs.15 lakhs excluding taxes once in 8 years.
